Michel Abedian, Partner in Charge of Audit & Attest Services at FHH’s Chatsworth office, brings over 25 years of public accounting expertise, including five years with Ernst & Young. Specializing in audits for public and private sectors, not-for-profits, and employee benefit plans, Michel’s industry experience spans manufacturing, restaurants, healthcare, and education. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California Lutheran University and is an active member of both the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs. Outside of accounting, Michel is deeply involved in youth soccer as a coach and referee, showcasing his linguistic skills in English, Swedish, Armenian, and Persian.

Chad Anaya

Partner, Audit & Attest Services – Chatsworth

Chad Anaya, a cornerstone of FHH since starting as an audit intern in 2007, now leads the firm’s prestigious broker/dealer practice. His journey from intern to partner is marked by 15+ years of comprehensive audits across public companies and broker/dealers, showcasing his vast expertise in industries like employee benefit plans, non-profits, healthcare, manufacturing, and entertainment. A San Diego State University alum with a BS in Accounting, Chad is a licensed CPA deeply involved in the professional community, serving as a certified peer reviewer and member of the California Society of CPAs Peer Review Committee. Outside the office, Chad dedicates time to family, coaching his sons’ sports teams, indoor cycling, traveling, and enjoying live music.

Danielle L. Brinkman-Mallare

Partner, Tax Services – Oxnard & Ojai

Danielle L. Brinkman-Mallare leads as the Partner in Charge of Tax Services at FHH’s Oxnard & Ojai offices, bringing over 25 years of specialized experience in tax and accounting services. Her career began in 1997 at a small Oxnard firm, which she acquired in 2000 and successfully led for fifteen years before merging with Farber Hass Hurley. Danielle’s expertise spans tax planning, preparation, and accounting for the service industry, manufacturing, retail, and real estate sectors, alongside significant work with trusts and estates. Holding a BS in Business Administration from California State University Northridge, she is deeply committed to her Ventura County roots. Beyond her professional life, Danielle has been an active participant in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and serves as a Board Member for the Ventura Family and the Channel Islands YMCA, demonstrating her dedication to community service.

Donna Carnes

Partner, Employee Benefits Plans – Valencia

Donna Carnes is a Partner in Accounting Services at FHH’s Valencia office, with over 25 years of experience in public accounting and private industry. Prior to FHH, she specialized in employee benefit plan audits and served as a controller for a manufacturing company, enriching her audit approach with a client-focused perspective. Her expertise covers a wide range of industries, including not-for-profits, manufacturing, and construction. Donna holds a BS in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Outside work, she enjoys family time, supporting her daughter’s teaching ambitions, and church activities.

 Samantha Dee

Partner, Audit & Attest Services – Oxnard

Samantha Dee, an Audit Partner at FHH’s Oxnard office, brings over 15 years of public accounting expertise, leading audits and reviews for both public and private entities. Her professional journey is marked by significant contributions to sectors such as manufacturing, construction, distribution, technology, and non-profits. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Economics from UCLA, Samantha is an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The California Society of CPAs. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Samantha cherishes her time outdoors, engaging in activities with her family like beach outings, hiking, camping, fishing, snowboarding, and riding dirt bikes.

Sherwin Tolentino

Partner, Tax Services – Oxnard

Sherwin Tolentino is a distinguished Tax Partner at FHH’s Oxnard office, bringing a wealth of expertise since 2016. With over 15 years at Armanino LLP, his experience spans tax planning, preparation, and diverse accounting services across service industries, manufacturing, real estate, agriculture, distribution, technology, and non-profits. Sherwin holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration with a finance focus from California State University, Northridge. He is a committed member of the California Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Beyond the office, Sherwin treasures family time with his wife and daughters and enjoys golfing and being multilingual in English, Filipino, and Kapampangan.

Paula Woodward, Partner in Charge of Audit & Attest Services at Farber Hass Hurley’s Oxnard office, offers over 25 years of experience in accounting and auditing. Her expertise includes a focus on retail, distribution, manufacturing, and technology industries, providing services like audits, internal controls assessments, and SEC reporting. A magna cum laude graduate in accounting from California Lutheran University, Paula is an active AICPA member and has served on the Board of Directors for the National Alliance on Mental Illness Ventura County. An avid ‘Doctor Who’ fan since 1985, she has set a goal to watch over 790 episodes of the iconic series.

Amy Coy, Partner in charge of Employee Benefit Plan audit services at Farber Hass Hurley LLP, brings 40+ years of diverse public accounting expertise. Specializing in employee benefit plan audits for 21 years, she leads the Valencia office with a focus on sectors like non-profits, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, and entertainment. Amy, a University of Oregon alumna, is active in professional bodies like the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs. Raised on an Oregon cattle ranch, she balances her professional life with ranching, equestrian activities, and quality time with her three college-age children in Southern California.

PATRICIA FARBER

Partner, Tax Services – Oxnard

Patricia Farber, Partner at Farber Hass Hurley LLP, leads the Tax Services in Oxnard with over 40 years of experience. Her tenure includes 12 years as a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche, specializing in tax planning and compliance for a diverse client base, including individuals, corporations, and nonprofits. With expertise in real estate, manufacturing, distribution, and technology, Pat excels in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic exit planning. Holding a bachelor’s in Economics from UC Santa Barbara, she actively contributes to the community, serving as Treasurer for Ojai Valley School and holding past roles in various professional and nonprofit organizations.

JEFF HASS

Partner, Audit & Attest Services – Oxnard & Phoenix

Jeff Hass, Partner at Farber Hass Hurley LLP, oversees audit and accounting services with a 40+ year career in public accounting, including 14 years with Ernst & Young and Deloitte & Touche. He specializes in industries like manufacturing, distribution, technology, life sciences, and retail, serving clients globally. Jeff, a Loyola Marymount University graduate in Accounting, chairs the Audit Committee for the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and is actively involved with the Ernst & Young Alumni Council. Recognized as a top financial professional in Ventura County, he also referees high school and youth football. Interestingly, Jeff is the grandson of the Hass avocado creator, a legacy he humorously notes hasn’t been profitable for the family.

MIKE HURLEY

Partner in Charge – Chatsworth

Mike Hurley, Partner in Charge of the Chatsworth Office at Farber Hass Hurley LLP, boasts over 40 years in public accounting and 4 years as a manufacturing controller. He specializes in audits for various sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, not-for-profits, and employee benefit plans. A graduate in Business and Science from Oregon State University, Mike has led the California Society of CPAs Peer Review Committee and served on the AICPA’s National Peer Review Committee. As a certified Toastmaster, he’s deeply involved in community sports, having been an AYSO coach, referee, and regional commissioner, and leading a girls’ soccer team to significant victories at Van Nuys High.

LARRY MCEWEN

Partner, Accounting Services – Chatsworth

Larry McEwen, Partner at Farber Hass Hurley LLP’s Chatsworth office, brings a wealth of experience as a CPA since 1980 and a PriceWaterhouseCoopers alum. With 40+ years of experience, he specializes in audits of employee benefit plans and non-profit organizations, Larry’s also a rare California CPA approved for AICPA’s National Peer Review Committee audits. His background includes a decade in financial management at NBC Television and senior roles in high-tech IPOs during the 1990s. With a BA in Economics and Accounting from UC Santa Barbara, he’s a member of the AICPA and California Society of CPAs. Originally from Montreal, Larry actively supports the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and has volunteered as a Little League umpire in Europe.
